Our Club
Our History:
The Strathmore Cricket Club was founded in 1971 by a group of mates keen to enjoy a game of social cricket. Today the Strathmore Cricket Club plays host to over 300 families.
The Club prides itself on creating an environment where junior and senior cricketers can learn and develop their skills. Starting at Under 10's, we provide a comprehensive junior development program, which has been successful in producing many senior players for our Club and Premier Grade Cricket.
Our two most senior teams are represented in the 'Senior Division' of the Victorian Turf Cricket Association (VTCA) - the top division.
In season 2021-22 the Club moved Associations and joined the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association.
Off the field the Club has an army of members and supporters who embrace our inclusive club culture and make our Clubrooms a warm place to be around.
Our sponsors form an important part in the success of the Club. This support allows local families to enjoy the facilities of the Club both on and off the field. The Club's relationship with our sponsors and members continues to grow as the Club continues to support local businesses.
Community:
We are committed to developing sports in the community and growing the skills and enjoyment for our members. The Club plays an important part in providing the local community access to sporting and leisure facilities. The health and well being of our local families is an important function of the Club. The Moonee Valley Council is an ongoing supporter of the Club in delivering a key service to the community.
The Club hosts 300 local families each weekend. Our members are all local families living within the Strathmore and surrounding area. Our extensive junior program incorporates kids from a range of local Public and Private schools, including;
